The groundhog did not see his shadow, which means Spring is around the corner! It’s time to put away all Winter decor and make a home bright for Spring.
Making the switch to Spring is easy, its about shaking off the winter blues and adding bright, crisp hues to the home.
Set the Scene
Add natural greens to the home by arranging leafy or blossoming branches into a vase. The vase can be anything from your typical vase, to a watering can or mason jars. Placing the vase on top of a tall piece of furniture helps to create the height. Don’t be afraid to mix and match branches and to place them in multiple places around the home. There is no wrong location for these great, and easy, decorations.
Shop Pastels
Adding pastels around the home is a great way to shape up for spring – without going full Easter. Using pastel accents throughout the home will brighten the space and channel a fresh, seasonally appropriate style. Decor options include throw pillows, vases, lamps and picture frames. Pairing pastels with bright whites, such as bedding, curtains or extra pillows, will also bring in that Spring feeling.
Floral Scents and Sights
The favorite old-time spring saying is ‘April showers bring May flowers’, but there is no time limit to adding florals through out the home. Adding floral scents through candles or diffusers is a great way to bring the freshness of Spring inside. Another great way to incorporate florals is with prints. Add a floral tablecloth to the kitchen, or curtains in the bedrooms. Noting quite says Spring like flowers, so don’t be afraid to sprinkle those every where.
