Scottsdale’s Pinard Wine Bar is thoughtfully designed to give guests a taste of Europe without leaving the Valley. Owner Letty Ebel and her daughter Kaia came up with the design for their eatery after finding inspiration abroad during their family travels.
“Our family has spent a lot of time exploring Europe,” Ebel said. “The slower pace and food/drink options that bring people together is something that really resonated. We wanted to bring a piece of that experience to Scottsdale – a feeling of being in a European cafe without having to travel 12 hours.”
The duo selected color palettes and furniture choices to best reflect the atmosphere of a restaurant, as they looked back through past trips to inform their choices. Kaia is a senior studying fashion at Indiana University and spent the last year studying abroad in Milan. The combination of her fashion background and experience living in Europe helped her create visual representations of possible designs for the space.
“This has strengthened our relationship and brought us even closer,” Ebel said. “I am so proud of Kaia and her work ethic. She never turns away from hard work and takes charge of any task we need. Her creativity was able to shine on this project and it helped bring our overall vision to reality.”
Pinard Wine Bar blends authentic flavors with a curated global wine selection. The menu features French and Italian classics such as beef bourguignon, ratatouille, veal chops, smoked linguine with heirloom tomatoes and guanciale.
With over 40 wines by the glass and more than 200 by the bottle, including rare varietals like Aglianico from Campania, the wine list is a standout. The ambiance combines plush red velvet seating with a breezy patio, and the Le Club Pinard offers members access to private tastings and a lounge. For more, visit pinardwinebar.com.
