Howard Hughes Communities has announced a leadership change in Arizona, promoting Kate Kaminski to President of the Arizona Region.
Kaminski will oversee the strategy, investment, development and operations of Teravalis, Howard Hughes Communities’ 37,000-acre master-planned community in Buckeye. Kaminski has strengthened relationships throughout the Greater Phoenix business community.
Her recent appointment to the Greater Phoenix Economic Council Board of Directors further expands her involvement with regional public- and private-sector leaders working to attract business investment and support economic growth.
The leadership transition comes as Teravalis moves forward with its first residential village, Floreo, which opened for home sales in late 2025. The village is ultimately planned to include approximately 8,500 homes, with seven homebuilders currently active.

Under Kaminski’s leadership, the Arizona team will continue working across capital investment, land development and sales, infrastructure, and government and community partnerships. Future plans for Teravalis include employment centers, commercial development, education, services and amenities designed to support the growing community.
“Teravalis represents an extraordinary opportunity to build something the Phoenix MSA has never had at scale,” Kaminski said. “As we welcome our first residents, our responsibility is to deliver on the promise of this community. That means planning for the homes, employment, schools, services, and gathering places that support everyday life. I’m proud to lead this team as we bring that vision to life.”

Kaminski brings more than 20 years of executive experience in real estate investment, land development, corporate strategy, capital markets and operations. Before joining Howard Hughes, she spent nearly two decades with Walton Global, where she ultimately served as Global Chief Operating Officer.
As Floreo continues to grow and infrastructure investments move forward, the development represents an important step in the larger vision for Teravalis. For updates, visit teravalis.com.
