Luxury homebuilder Camelot Homes and landscape design firm Creative Environments have earned top recognition in the second annual Phoenix Home & Garden Honors Design Awards, taking home the award for Best Pool Design for the model home at The Edge at Joy Ranch in North Scottsdale.
The award highlights a striking pool concept that serves as a visual centerpiece and an extension of the home’s contemporary architecture. Created through a collaborative effort between Camelot Homes and Creative Environments, the design transforms the outdoor space into a resort-inspired retreat while reinforcing the home’s overall architectural vision.

For more than four decades, Phoenix Home & Garden has been recognized as one of the Southwest’s leading voices in residential design. This year’s Honors Design Awards attracted more than 100 entries and were evaluated by a panel of nationally recognized design professionals from outside Arizona, including architect and designer Jose Achi, interior designer Julia Buckingham Vikander, editor and author Brad Mee, and architectural interior designer Charles Pavarini.
At the heart of the award-winning design is a distinctive oval-shaped pool that mirrors the curved architecture of the covered patio above it. The relationship between the structure and the water creates a cohesive composition that draws the eye outdoors while framing sweeping views of the surrounding desert landscape.

Large sliding glass doors throughout the main living spaces strengthen the connection between the interior and exterior, allowing the pool to serve as both an amenity and a focal design element.
“We are honored to be recognized by Phoenix Home & Garden and such a distinguished panel of judges,” said Kevin Rosinski, President of Camelot Homes. “We believe exceptional design extends beyond the walls of the home. This award reflects our commitment to creating thoughtfully integrated indoor and outdoor spaces that embrace their natural surroundings and inspire the way people live.”

Located in North Scottsdale, The Edge at Joy Ranch has already drawn attention for its innovative architecture, sophisticated design aesthetic, and integration with the surrounding Sonoran Desert. The award-winning model home was designed by Hannouche Architects and reflects Camelot Homes’ longstanding commitment to blending architectural excellence with elevated outdoor living experiences.
By treating the pool as an integral component of the home’s design rather than a standalone feature, the project demonstrates the growing emphasis on seamless indoor-outdoor living in today’s luxury residential market. With this latest recognition, Camelot and Creative Environments continue to showcase how design can transform outdoor spaces into immersive extensions of the home. Learn more: camelothomes.com.
