JULY 31

Funny People: How can Funny People not be funny? Especially with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan as the lead comedians. Funny People portrays the lives of two comedians, one whose career is coming to an end and one whose is just beginning. See what happens after George Simmons (Adam Sandler) faces a deadly medical scare. Eric Bana also joins the amazing cast.

Aliens in the Attic: Bring the kids to see Aliens in the Attic – a comical and adventurous story starring the next Megan Fox — Ashley Tisdale. While on a family vacation in Main, a group of young kids are confronted with seemingly harmless aliens who have the ability to use humans as puppets. See how they save their family and the world!

AUGUST 7

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra: Duke and Ripcord join the secretive elite military crew known as “G.I. Joe” and take on an infamous arms dealer using only the highest technological equipment. See Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller and Dennis Quaid star in this action packed flick.

Julie & Julia: Julie Powell, who is feeling very unsatisfied with her life, decides to cook all 524 dishes in Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” book, to which she will write about. The film portrays both Julie and Julia and how in the end, their lives are truly similar. Plus, Julia Child is played by phenomenal actress Meryl Streep and Julie is played by funny girl Amy Adams.

Shorts: Toe Thompson is hit on the head with a rainbow-colored rock that has the power to grant his wishes. See how getting what you want becomes a chaotic adventure.

AUGUST 14

Bandslam: Nerdy Will Burton is asked to join a rock band for a band competition at his high school. And who asked him? The beautiful girl in school. See how the new band changes his social status, among other things. The film stars Vanessa Hudgens and Lisa Kudrow.

District 9: Aliens invade in this mysterious new film – District 9. The aliens become a threat but also bring new technology.

The Time Traveler’s Wife: From the best selling novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife is sure to be the next Notebook as it is an endearing love story about two people who come together even though one man, (Eric Bana) is cursed with the unstoppable ability to travel through time. Clare (Rachel McAdams) is the only reason Henry is not completely alone in his scattered life.

AUGUST 21

Inglorious Bastards: Brad Pitt takes on this World War II epic that intertwines two different stories. A jewish girl who loses her family to the Nazis plots her revenge, while Lt. Aldo Raine leads a group of Jewish-American soldiers in a quest to stake out and brutally kill Nazis.

The Final Destination: Escaping death is never easy in the Final Destination horror series. Somehow death always seems to creep up in an ordered fashion.

Halloween II: Now you can see just where 2007’s Halloween remake left off in Halloween II. Laurie Strode still battles her own personal demons, even though her murderous brother is in fact dead.

  1. Although these movies look awesome, I am still a little behind the times. I still haven’t seen The Proposal with Sandra Bullock.

  2. Time TRavellers Wife has teh best trailer becuase i cant figure out what its abut at all and it makes me curious. funny peopel also looks terrific.

  3. I want to see all of these movies! I’ve requested The Time Traveler’s Wife and Julie and Julia books from the library though so I’d rather read them first!
