OrthoArizona Brings NFL Combine Prep to Arizona with Training HAUS

Arizona is now home to a new hub for aspiring NFL stars, as OrthoArizona teams up with Training HAUS to launch an NFL Combine Prep program in Scottsdale. Originally founded in Minnesota, Training HAUS is one of the most respected performance brands in professional sports, known for training marquee athletes like Larry Fitzgerald, Travis Kelce, David Montgomery, Joe Alt, Cris Carter, and Jamal Lewis.

With its expansion, the program combines world-class athletic training with OrthoArizona’s state-of-the-art orthopedic care, creating an environment designed for peak performance and injury prevention.

Running through March, the 12-week program will guide draft prospects and free agents through intensive training focused on speed, strength, biomechanics, explosiveness, and injury prevention, all in preparation for the NFL Combine and the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.

Participants will benefit from an integrated performance lab offering strength and conditioning, position-specific coaching – including quarterback training – physical therapy, biomechanics analysis, nutrition planning with an on-site dietitian, chef-prepared meals tailored to performance goals, and supplemental modalities like Pilates, yoga, and movement optimization.

“This partnership is a defining moment for OrthoArizona,” said Dr. Rajan Bhatt, CEO of OrthoArizona. “We have spent years intentionally building one of the most comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine platforms in the country, and bringing Training HAUS’ NFL Combine Prep program to Arizona is a direct result of that investment. World-class athletes require elite infrastructure, and OrthoArizona has built an environment designed to support performance at the very highest level.”

Bill Welle, director of NFL Combine Prep at Training HAUS, relocated to Phoenix to lead the program. With more than 30 years of experience, Welle has trained some of the NFL’s biggest names, including a long-standing partnership with Larry Fitzgerald that began when Fitzgerald was just 15. The Arizona program also features former NFL offensive lineman Alex Boone, who will work directly with offensive line prospects.

“We’ve built a proven NFL combine prep model over the years, producing numerous NFL Draft picks, but we recognized that climate was becoming a limiting factor for many athletes,” said Welle. “After meeting with the OrthoArizona team, it was clear that this partnership would allow us to bring Training HAUS West while maintaining the same independently-owned, physician-led philosophy that has driven our success.”

OrthoArizona serves as the team physician for the Arizona Cardinals, while Training HAUS has long-standing ties to the Minnesota Vikings through Twin Cities Orthopedics. With millions invested in expanding its sports medicine footprint across the Valley, OrthoArizona provides the perfect platform to support Training HAUS athletes, offering elite medical oversight alongside advanced training programs.

Founded in 1994, OrthoArizona is one of the nation’s largest and Arizona’s premier providers of comprehensive musculoskeletal care, with more than 300 healthcare providers, including nearly 100 orthopedic specialists, across over 40 locations statewide.
