Fall is a great excuse to bring a little more color, texture and creativity into your home, and Cactus Flower Florists is offering plenty of inspiration this season.
The florist has announced its fall and holiday design class schedule, with hands-on experiences running from through December. Each $85 class includes all the materials needed to create the featured arrangement, along with light bites and a selection of wine and seasonal craft beer available for tasting.
Classes are held at Cactus Flower Florists, located at 10822 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. Friday classes run from 3 to 5 p.m., while Saturday sessions are held from 10 a.m. to noon.
On October 2, Desert Sunset takes its inspiration from the colors of an Arizona sunset, combining seasonal blooms, locally grown flowers and Southwest-inspired elements. Those looking for something a little moodier can join Midnight Garden: Botanical Dish Garden Experience on October 16. The class focuses on creating a botanical garden using rich foliage, natural textures, moss and decorative accents.
Fall festivities continue October 30 with The Pumpkin Bloom: Floral Design Class, which puts a floral spin on the traditional pumpkin by using a festive pumpkin container filled with seasonal blooms, textured foliage and unexpected autumn accents.
On November 6, the Succulent Pumpkin Design Experience offers another take on the seasonal centerpiece, combining a live pumpkin, lush moss and a curated mix of succulents for a textural design. Cactus Flower’s holiday classes begin November 20 with Gathered at the Table: Fall Centerpiece Experience. Participants will create an arrangement featuring warm seasonal blooms, layered foliage and rich autumn textures.
Then it’s time to break out the holiday greenery. Tinsel Training: Live Holiday Wreath will be offered December 4 and 5, giving participants the chance to create a festive wreath decorated with pinecones, berries, holiday accents and a finished bow. The holiday lineup wraps up December 18 and 19 with Tinsel Training: Holiday Centerpiece, where participants will design a red-and-white seasonal arrangement featuring holiday evergreens, pinecones, berries and festive accents.
