The Home & Design Idea Center, Arizona’s largest and most unique collection of home and garden products and services, recently opened on Sept. 5 offering design professionals, remodelers and homeowners the most innovative retail experience amid a creative and visionary environment. The grand opening is scheduled for October.

The Home & Design Idea Center has the most complete collection of home and garden related products and services in the Southwest. The center showcases homebuilding, interior design, remodeling, landscaping, gardening, home décor and furnishings. More than 200 progressive vignettes will be on display at the center — with everything from complete kitchen set-ups to myriad flooring and lighting selections — and visitors looking for design ideas will enjoy an organized shopping experience in a stunningly well-designed location.

“The Home & Design Idea Center will make your jaw drop and your creative sense run wild,” says Robyn Randall, ASID, Manager of Design at Robb & Stucky Interiors and incoming President Elect of ASID, Arizona North Chapter, both organizations participating as exhibitors at the center. “This is a great concept that appeals to everyone from high-end interior designers to architects and the casual consumer looking for the latest in design trends and styles. This is truly an ‘idea center.’”

The Home & Design Idea Center is based on a successful business expo model that originated in Europe and is now taking root in the U.S. The center also leverages technology to bring a new level of sophistication in the home retail experience. Visitors to the center can register for a Preferred Member Card – similar to those offered at home membership stores – and are given a handheld scanner to obtain more information from the vignettes that interest them most. After browsing the center at leisure, and without sales pressure, each visitor is given a take-home summary of their visit and items of interest.

The Home & Design Idea Center is not only big in sophistication and experience, but also in size. Visitors will enjoy 37,000 square feet of exhibition space in an environment with the most affluent design and comfort. Located in a prime demographic location at the epicenter of luxury home development in North Scottsdale, the center will draw visitors from around the Southwest including homebuilders, interior designers, remodelers and residents in the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Biltmore, Cave Creek and Carefree areas of Metro Phoenix. The center will regularly hold educational hands-on events and seminars open to the public from Arizona’s most prestigious industry professionals.

There is no cost, parking is free and the center is open seven days a week. Some of Arizona’s most well known home-related brands are represented at the Home & Design Idea Center including the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers. Brands include Robb & Stucky, Legacy Custom Building, Sonoran Rain Landscape Creations and Paramount Windows, to name just a few.

“We’ve taken this proven state-of-the-art retail experience and tailored it to the Southwest,” says Michael Atkinson, CEO of AZ Big Media, the owner and operator of the Home & Design Idea Center. “The home expo business as we know it is changing and the Home & Design Idea Center is the future of homebuilding, design and remodeling. We have the most elite companies in the business and best of all there’s no pressure — just a collection of the most sophisticated and elegant home ideas in the Southwest.”

The Home & Design Idea Center is located at 19120 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale, Ariz., 85255. For more information, please call (602) 277-6045 or visit azbigmedia.com.

  3. I went to this place, the staff was so rund it was unbelievable. i came in on my day off with shorts and a ball cap on, it was like they thought to themselves that i dont have any money or own a home. so unhelpful and very unprofessional. dont waste your time

  4. I was just recently at the new design center and it looks beautiful! What an amazing concept and they’ve done a great job with it!. I thought the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

  5. Mike seemed to have had a bad experience but what I loved about the design center was how I was left alone to browse. They helped me when I first came in then left me alone. There was no pressure to make a sale. I have to admit, getting a scanner for requesting more information was kind of cool…

    I’ll be back!
