A new residential community is taking shape in Gilbert as Tri Pointe Homes begins construction at Lusitano, a 40-acre development planned for the southwest corner of Pecos and Greenfield roads.
The community will feature 76 single-family homesites, including 65 standard lots and 11 oversized homesites. Designed around spacious single-story living, Lusitano will offer four floorplans ranging from approximately 3,500 to 4,900 square feet, with four to five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and three- to five-bay garages.

The four Lusitano floorplans – Brenton, Camarillo, Friesian and Calida – are designed with flexibility in mind, incorporating large spaces, game rooms, flex rooms, covered courtyards and porches. Buyers will also have opportunities to personalize their homes with options such as additional bedrooms, recreation rooms, primary retreats and lounges.
For those looking for additional space, select plans will offer a GenSmart Suite® designed for guests or multigenerational living, as well as optional basements that can expand a home to more than 5,000 square feet. Expanded garage configurations will provide additional room for vehicles, recreational equipment, hobbies and storage.
The community’s architectural styles will include Farmhouse, Adobe, Vineyard and Ranch-inspired elevations, creating a mix of looks throughout the neighborhood.
Outdoor amenities are another major component of Lusitano. Plans currently call for a pavilion, porch swings, fireplace and firepit, putting green, barbecue grills and picnic tables, a half basketball court, playground, ramada and mountain bike track. Trails and landscaped open spaces will connect the amenities throughout the community. Homes at Lusitano will incorporate Tri Pointe’s LivingSmart® program, which focuses on energy efficiency, environmental responsibility and long-term home performance.
