HGTV Dream Home Furnished by Ethan Allen

Needless to say, I have already put my name in for the HGTV Dream Home 2010 Giveaway. . . I think a vacation home in New Mexico would be divine (minus the property taxes, of course).

Ethan Allen announced that it has again partnered with HGTV as primary furnisher of the HGTV Dream Home. The HGTV Dream Home 2010, located in Sandia Park, New Mexico, proved an ideal stage for Ethan Allen’s custom services and wide range of products.

“We’re extremely proud of our longstanding relationship with HGTV, and to have been selected as the primary furnisher of the HGTV Dream Home for the fourth consecutive year is truly a testament to the diversity of our products and to the breadth of our custom capabilities,” said Nora Murphy, Ethan Allen’s Executive Vice President of Style and Advertising.

Modern Style Meets Mountain Views was the theme for this year’s HGTV Dream Home. The single-story, 3,900-square-foot home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a home office, a home theater, a gourmet kitchen with a walk-through pantry, an outdoor dining area with a fireplace and grill, a three-car garage, and a separate guest casita with a playhouse for children.

According to Linda Woodrum, the interior designer for the HGTV Dream Home 2010, the house’s design called for clean, simple style.

“The Southwestern style and location of HGTV Dream Home 2010, with its stunning mountain and desert views, had us excited to see which furnishings Linda would choose for this amazing project. Once again, the results were spectacular,” added Ms. Murphy.

For example, a pair of dramatic Rand wing chairs dressed in plush turquoise fabric was used in the foyer to create a cozy fireside conversation area. Just steps away in the great room, a cool, confident mix of materials and lines works beautifully to create a modern space. Monterey sofas in soft, rich brown fabric and the iconic steel-framed Jericho chair in leather add a neat metropolitan vibe. Two oak coffee tables — each one unique, made of 100% reclaimed wood set into an iron base — are used together to dramatic effect. In the home office, an American Artisan X-table is used as a multitasking workstation.

Only one lucky person can win the HGTV Dream Home 2010, but Ethan Allen says it sees every home as a dream home in the making. Ethan Allen’s diversity of fashion-forward styles and ability to provide nearly everything for the well-designed home has made it a favorite of style-hungry one-stop shoppers. Missed the deadline? Not one of the lucky winners? No worries. You can still transform your living space into a dream home. With affordable loans in Albuquerque, NM, you can receive an extra hundred or thousand dollars for supplies, furnishing, and decor and repay the balance in monthly installments.

Not sure what your dream home should look like? The Spanish-style decor would be a perfect theme for homes in New Mexico. It’s the perfect combination between sophistication and class while still providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Spanish-style living and dining rooms look amazing with warm textured walls paired with hard floorings like decorative terracotta tiles and dark grout. For a rustic Spanish vibe, stick to furnishings made of wood, iron, stones, and metal while incorporating cultural pieces like vases, paintings, and sculptures for a finishing touch.
