2025 Subaru Forester Sport Hybrid: Efficient, Capable, and Lake-Trip Ready

I got to test out the 2025 Subaru Forester Sport Hybrid, and I came away genuinely impressed. Right off the bat, the biggest win? I didn’t have to stop for gas once. For someone who’s used to filling up midweek, that kind of efficiency felt like a game-changer—especially on a longer drive out to the lake and back.

The hybrid system is smooth and quiet, and I appreciated how seamless the transition was between electric and gas power. Around town, it felt light on its feet, with enough punch for passing and merging, but where it really shined was on the backroads to the lake. The all-wheel-drive system handled gravel and uneven terrain with total confidence, and the Sport trim’s slightly more aggressive tuning gave it a fun, responsive edge in corners and on inclines.

Inside, it was comfortable, practical, and tech-friendly. There’s something about the Forester’s visibility and layout that just makes you feel in control—and safe. The cargo area swallowed up everything I needed for a day by the water, and there was still room to spare.

Overall, the 2025 Forester Sport Hybrid delivered everything I hoped for: excellent fuel efficiency, confident handling, and just enough ruggedness for weekend adventures. It’s the kind of vehicle that quietly does everything well—and makes you wonder why you’d need anything else.
