Friday
Spring Break Camp at Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics Center
The Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics Center in northeast Phoenix will offer its “Supercamp” for ages 3 to 13 when the kids are off from school for spring break. Children will have a great time learning gymnastics, dance, “Ninja Zone,” yoga, trampoline, playing games, and much more. Supercamp is offered half-day (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and full-day (8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Cost is $57 for the half-day and $78 for the full-day; $216 for one week, half-day and $311 for one week, full-day. Advanced registration is requested. $25 for a same-day registration. The next camp start March 25.
“Mummies of the World: The Exhibition” at Arizona Science Center
The mystery of mummification has long-captured audiences. Valley residents can now admire the ancient practice up-close with the Arizona Science Center’s new “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition." The exhibit features 40 real human and animal mummies, as well as an additional 85 rare artifacts from around the world. “Mummies of the World: The Exhibition” is a limited-time engagement requiring a timed-entry ticket and purchase of general admission. Advance purchase is highly recommended. The exhibition ends in September.

Princess Day at Unicorn Cupcake Boutique
Bring the whole family to the Unicorn Cupcake Boutique in Scottsdale for a free, fun-filled Princess Day event on Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m. to noon. Children will get to meet Princess Merida from the movie “Brave,” listen to an exciting story, take photos and get a signed autograph. Spring into Uptown Plaza
Uptown Plaza is welcoming spring with a series of events every Saturday in March. Come for movies, music and yoga in the courtyard, and stay for lunch or dinner at one of the plaza's 11 restaurants or browse the offerings from on-site retailers on-site. Plus, there will be music in the courtyard from 4 to 7 p.m.
Arizona Renaissance Festival
Get ready to be transported back to the 16th century as one of the largest and most picturesque renaissance festivals is now in town. The Arizona Renaissance Festival runs every Saturday and Sunday through March 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Roam the 30-acre festival village filled with whimsical castles, cottages and pubs, take in 14 stages of nonstop performances of music, mermaids, merriment, dance, acrobatics and comedy and cheer on knights during the jousting tournaments. Huzzah!
Spring Break at Jake’s Unlimited
Mesa’s Jake’s Unlimited is upping the fun factor for Valley families with a special spring break promotion. From March 1 to March 31, families will save $15 on each Pro Package Pass they purchase (normally priced at $45.50 a person). The Pro Package includes unlimited buffet until 8 p.m., rides and attractions, non-redemption video games, one game of bowling with rental shows, one game of mini-bowling, and a $10 fun card.
The LEGO Movie Days at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona is celebrating the long-awaited The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part with movie-themed event days through March 31. The ultimate indoor LEGO playground features 10 LEGO build and play zones, a 4D cinema, rides and special movie-themed fun all geared for families with children ages 3 to 10. The LEGO Movie Days will host character meet and greets, a themed scavenger hunt and much more fun.
Sunday
“Grease School Edition” by Desert Stages Theatre
It’s your last chance to enjoy Scottsdale’s Desert Stages Theatre’s “Grease School Edition.” A family-friendly adaptation of the 1971 musical “Grease,” the show is performed by actors ages 3 to 19 Fridays and Saturdays, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. through March 24. The Electric Guitar: Inventing an American Icon at Musical Instrument Museum
Musical Instrument Museum has welcomed an exclusive new exhibition that is an ode to the instrument that revolutionized music—and pop culture, as a whole. The Electric Guitar: Inventing an American Icon spotlights more than 80 of the rarest electric guitars and amplifiers in the world, including the instruments of rock royalty, like Pete Townshend and Bo Diddley. This exciting exhibition is on display through Sept. 15. In addition to admission to MIM, tickets to The Electric Guitar: Inventing an American Icon are $7 ($10 for special exhibition only).
