Steve Jobs and Rupert Murdoch have joined forces to create <em>The Daily<\/em>, a newspaper (well actually it\u2019s more like a news-pad) that can only be read on the iPad. The only way to read the new publication is buy it through the iPad App Store for $0.99 per edition.<\/p>\n<p>News Corp. isn\u2019t messing around either. It is serious about delivering a superior publication as it has already hired 100 journalists to write for <em>The Daily<\/em>. And according to Mashable, \u201cApple is said to have taken great care to deliver a seamless delivery experience for The Daily\u201d as well. The publication\u2019s draw will be on exclusivity as the content will only be made for the app, unlike other news publications which just reuse online content.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like Jobs and Murdock have it out to predominately change the way we read, and are destined to move all written word, even newspapers, to digital platforms like the iPad.<\/p>\n<p>Although the new App seems enticing and definitely peeks my curiosity, it is, in the end, just a news app, which the App Store is flooded with already.
