The answer is easy \u2013 where do you want to go? This year there are two places that are on everyone\u2019s list \u2013 Cuba and Iceland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>With its legendary nightlife, iconic music, delicious cuisines and distinct culture Cuba is the number one trend in travel today. After being closed to Americans for over 50 years this small Caribbean island, less than an hour flight from Miami, has become the \u201cmust see before your neighbors see it\u201d place. Cruise lines like Azamara Club Cruises\u00ae, MSC Cruises\u2122, Norwegian Cruise Line\u00ae, Oceania Cruises\u00ae, Regent Seven Seas Cruises\u00ae, Royal Caribbean\u00ae and Viking Cruises\u00ae are now visiting this time capsule of an island and Americans are lining up to be among the first to set sail.<\/p>\n<p><img  loading=\"lazy\"  decoding=\"async\"  class=\"size-large wp-image-22428 aligncenter pk-lqip pk-lazyload\"  src=\"https:\/\/media.arizonafoothillsmagazine.com\/valleygirlblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/25051533\/Screen-Shot-2017-04-26-at-1.14.44-PM-80x44.jpg\"  alt=\"Screen Shot 2017-04-26 at 1.14.44 PM\"  width=\"750\"  height=\"416\"  data-pk-sizes=\"auto\"  data-pk-src=\"http:\/\/www.arizonafoothillsmagazine.com\/valleygirlblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screen-Shot-2017-04-26-at-1.14.44-PM-750x416.png\" ><\/p>\n<p>Cruising to and around the island is without doubt the best way to experience it. With accommodations on the island in short supply there is an unimaginable joy that comes with returning each night to your floating 5-star resort \u2013 with its glorious air conditioning and filtered water.\u00a0 As an added benefit, the cruise lines also facilitate the required travel affidavit and the corresponding requirements through their shore excursions and planned activities \u2013 many of which are included free of charge on the more luxury focused cruise lines.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next up on the list \u2013 Iceland. This land of glacier fed waterfalls, volcanos, thermal spring and open skies is experiencing a tourism renaissance. Low cost carriers such as WOW and Icelandic air have made travelling to Iceland cheaper than most flights to NY from LA. However, once you land in Iceland, with its population base of less than 331,000 (or just 60 percent of Tucson\u2019s population) you can expect to spend upwards of $300 a night on hotels (for a 3 star) if you are travelling during prime season (June-August).
