Q.) How common is it for someone to get a butt augmentation? Is it okay to do to your body in the long run? Do you think that it’s more of a fad and will not look as good over time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.)<\/strong> Buttock augmentation, although more\u00a0familiar now because of certain celebrities, has been around for a long time. The buttocks has been and is an important part of\u00a0human sensuality and therefore it has been the focus of plastic surgery\u00a0improvement for quite some time. With that being said, how buttock\u00a0augmentation has been\u00a0performed\u00a0has evolved with time to\u00a0provide better results and less complications. The most common method today is fat transfer which involves removing fat from unwanted places and placing it in the buttocks to improve both shape and size. Buttock fat transfer, also known as Brazilian Buttock Lift (BBL), is\u00a0permanent, natural, and safe. The key is to define what you would\u00a0like to achieve and to strive for a result that is in balance with your body and your lifestyle.<\/p>\n

Q.) If I want to look more like Kim Kardashian, but don’t want to get a butt implant, is there another type of procedure that I can get?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.)<\/strong> \u00a0Most buttock augmentations are performed with buttock fat transfer as opposed to\u00a0buttock implants. The reason for this is that buttock fat transfer is natural and safer\u00a0than implants and has a proven history of having fewer\u00a0complications. Buttock fat transfer also has the added benefit of providing liposuction of the areas where there may be an excess of fat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Q.) I am not happy with the size of my thighs no matter how much I workout. What’s the safest way to get right of my inner thigh fat?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.)<\/strong> The most common ways to reduce fat with minimal or no surgery is liposuction or\u00a0cool sculpting. Liposuction is a more powerful and more immediate form or fat reduction. Liposuction has been around for 30+ years. When used properly it is very safe and very effective. The type of liposuction\u00a0isn’t as important as the way it is used (the plastic surgeon). Cool sculpting, on the other hand is non-invasive and has little to no downtime. It is not as powerful as liposuction and the result are not immediate. Inner thighs tend to respond better to liposuction than to cool sculpting.<\/p>\n

Q.) What surgical technique is recommended for for liposuction for my legs? (I am lower body heavy)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.)<\/strong> \u00a0There are many types of liposuction techniques available. They all work well and the final result is more\u00a0dependent on the\u00a0technique as opposed to the technology. A good plastic surgeon with experience in liposuction can use any modality and get a great result. The reverse is also true–in inexperienced hands, any technology can lead to\u00a0suboptimal results or complications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Q.) What are the risks of liposuction?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.)<\/strong> \u00a0The most common risk of\u00a0liposuction\u00a0is contour irregularity. In experienced hands, liposuction results should be smooth and consistent. Small\u00a0irregularities can be touched up without\u00a0difficulty. All in all,\u00a0liposuction is very safe and vert effective in sculpting the body by removing and redistributing fat.<\/p>\n
