The autumn is a magical time of year in many locations around the world. Something about the changing colors of the leaves and the slight chill in the air is just perfect for romance. If you are thinking about going on a weekend getaway with your sweetheart, here are some fabulous romantic destinations to consider visiting this fall:<\/p>\n

\"Moustiers_Ste_Marie_Provence_France\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Moustiers Sainte-Marie, France<\/h3>\n

This southeastern French town looks as if it came right out of the pages of a fairytale. From the stunning Gorges du Verdon, a 700-meter-deep river canyon, to the Fa\u00efenceries<\/em> shops, this romantic getaway is sure to impress. The village sits atop a rushing mountain stream with small waterfalls going into the canyon. The narrow medieval architecture and streets are accented by the Notre-Dame de Beauvoir chapel, an 8th<\/sup> century chapel that has been the destination for pilgrimages since the year 470. The two focal points of the village are the 12th<\/sup> century Notre-Dame church that is adorned with a four-level Lombard Romanesque bell tower, as well as the star suspended across the Rioul Valley. The gold-leaf-plated star, as well as the chain suspending it, was placed there by Sir Blacas, a knight who returned from a long period of captivity during the crusades.\u00a0 Be sure to check out the accommodations at La Bastide de Moustiers<\/a>, where the French cuisine is as magical as the stay. Take home one or two of the pottery pieces from the Fa\u00efenceries<\/em> shops as souvenirs of your adventure together.<\/p>\n

If you are looking for something a bit closer to home, Napa Valley is the place to go. From local wineries to bike rides and day hikes, Napa Valley has a little of everything for the adventurous couple. Schramsberg sparkling winery also hosts a special Crush Camp during harvest time. After your day out on the town exploring antique shops and gazing at the fall foliage, visit The Red Fox Inn, an old-world style tavern built in 1728 that features incredible regional cuisine and furnishings that transport you back the nation\u2019s early days.<\/p>\n

Sonoma, California<\/h3>\n

Located just forty miles north of San Francisco, California\u2019s Wine Country is on the list twice simply because its sheer beauty and abundance of options. Travel by horseback, car, foot or bicycle as you take in all of the sights and sounds that Sonoma has to offer.
