To celebrate 10 years of finding hotels around the world that are truly exceptional, Mr & Mrs Smith, a\u00a0travel publisher and boutique hotel booking service,\u00a0asked travelers around the world to vote for their favorite small luxury hotels and boutiques. \u00a0The Smith Hotel Awards included a 12 category contest that showcased the most stylish and luxurious boutique hotels around the world. \u00a0The results have been released, including the “Sexiest Bedroom in the World.”<\/p>\n

The World’s Sexiest Bedroom may not be that Christian Grey style bedroom you would expect, but it\u00a0came out on top with “a bed you can’t leave”, “a sumptuous decor” and “an element of intrigue”. \u00a0The 2013 “Sexiest Bedroom in the World” has been named the Corfu Suite in the Blakes Hotel in London. \u00a0According to the awards website, the Corfu Suite has a\u00a0\u201cmagical, white-draped four-poster, Indian-style mother-of-pearl-inlaid furnishings and seductive air of serenity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The runner up to the Corfu Suite was the Ca Maria Adele in Venice, Italy. \u00a0The Smith website describes it as an\u00a0“authentic Venetian feel” \u00a0with “shimmering Murano chandeliers, rich damask fabrics and ornate flocked wallpaper; burnished concrete, African wood accents and a bohemian feel guarantee you don’t lose your touch on the forward-thinking present.”<\/p>\n

The second runner up was the Secret Bay hotel, which overlooks the Caribbean sea. \u00a0The Smith website describes it as an “intimate resort perched on a tropical hillside that hangs over the cerulean Caribbean feels secluded and largely undiscovered \u2013 just like a true retreat should.”<\/p>\n
