This playful exhibition proves that contemporary art can be thought-provoking and fun at the same time. In honor of SMoCA&#8217;s 10th Anniversary these ten talented artists are a mix of the contemporary art world&#8217;s most celebrated figures and innovative new comers. Their pieces will include paintings, wall drawings, ceramics, videos, sculptures and installations.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.smoca.org\" target=\"_blank\"> www.smoca.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Film Showcase<\/strong><br \/>\nTuesday, Feb. 24, 5:30 p.m.<br \/>\nScottsdale Public Art<br \/>\nScottsdale Public Art is teaming up with Arizona State University\u2019s professor and renowned artist, Muriel Magenta, to showcase the work of some of the most promising local, national, and international student video artists. This year, ten short videos created by Magenta\u2019s students will be shown, in addition to the featured presentation of <em>A Micrometer from Here<\/em>, by Israeli artist Amit Zakai. The event is free but seating is limited.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottsdalepublicart.org\" target=\"_blank\"> www.scottsdalepublicart.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>39th Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival<\/strong><br \/>\nMarch 20-22, 10 a.m.<br \/>\nScottsdale Civic Center Mall<br \/>\nConsistently ranked among the top arts festivals in the country, the Scottsdale Arts Festival has been an Arizona tradition since 1971. The three-day event features 200 jury-selected artists from throughout North America who display their work for sale on the beautiful grounds of the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. Visitors can enjoy continuous live music and entertainment from Arizona\u2019s top bands and performers, the interactive Photoscopia kaleidoscope and a sneak preview of the <em>Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef Projec<\/em>t commissioned by the Scottsdale Public Art Program, fun activities for children and families at Imagine Nation, delicious foods and beverages including a wine and beer tasting
