One of the Valley’s leading hospitals unveils a $5 million renovation to its entrance, resulting in a more contemporary, peaceful space.
Though Phoenix’s John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital has long offered some of the Valley’s most cutting-edge care to its patients, its drab lobby didn’t reflect what the hospital was truly capable of. After a transformative $5 million renovation, the entrance of John C. Lincoln is now a contemporary haven for its patients and guests.
The renovation was made possible when John C. Lincoln’s descendants, David and Joan Lincoln and his sister, Lillian Lincoln Howell, donated $4 million to upgrade the entrance. The hospital’s main entrance and lobby now have a more modern and tranquil feel with clean lines and cool, nature-inspired artwork. There is even an innovative indoor garden that allows staff to switch out the flora and fauna with the season. The gift shop received a facelift as well; the spacious shop can now offer a variety of high-end gift items, housewares, even clothes, alongside teddy bears and greeting cards. The spiritual center, admitting, coffee bistro and donor wall were also renovated.
The final phase of renovations at John C. Lincoln commenced at the end of November. The final phase includes enhanced indoor public dining and the addition of outdoor and staff dining areas. It is planned for completion in March. Overall, 12,840 square feet of John C. Lincoln’s North Mountain campus will be renovated and transformed into peaceful, eye-pleasing spaces that will ultimately live up to the hospital’s quality of care. www.jcl.com.
