Whether you’re a craft aficionado or have little-to-no DIY experience, there are a lot of fun crafts for you to fall in love with making this season.

Fall Leaf Mason Jar

This craft is very simple (even if you’re not too crafty) and adds a cute touch for fall! Just five items are needed to complete it.

Items:

Decorative leaves

Mason jar

Craft glue (such as Mod Podge)

Candles (battery-operated)

Raffia ribbon

1.) Take fall leaves that you can get from many stores (fake ones can be simpler to work with) and bend them a little bit so it’s easier for the leaves to form around the jar.

2.) Make sure the jar is clean so everything sticks better, and start to apply some of the glue where you want to place a leaf.

3.) Place the leaves wherever you’d like on the outside of the jar. Make sure they’re pressed on enough and then let the leaves set.

4.) You can add any other touches you would like. As seen in the picture, you can tie raffia ribbon around the top.

5.) Add a light source, such as battery-operated candles.

Pumpkin Lanterns

This is another simple craft that can add a cute look to your fall decorating.

Items:

Orange paper lantern

Green paper

Craft glue

Dark-green and brown pipe cleaners

Newspaper

Tape

Ribbon

1.) Make a leaf shape on the green paper, and cut it out.

2.) Attach a dark-green pipe cleaner to the center of the leaf with craft glue.

3.) To make curly tendrils, spiral two brown pipe cleaners.

4.) Attach the leaf and tendrils (pipe cleaners) to the paper lantern by wrapping the ends of the pipe cleaners around the wire frame.

5.) Use newspaper to make the stem and cover it/attach it to the lantern with brown tape.

6.) Use ribbon or something else to place the lanterns where you’d like!

Glitter Falling Leaves Garland

For some sparkle in your fall decorating, this is an ideal craft! It brings a pretty and shimmering appearance to the fall leaves.

Items:

Decorative leaves

Glitter (unless they already have glitter on them)

Craft glue (again, unless there’s already glitter on them)

Ribbon

Hole puncher

1.) If you don’t have pre-glittered leaves, take your decorative leaves and apply glue to them.

2.) Pour glitter over the leaves and let it set, then you can shake off excess glitter.

3.) Get a long piece of ribbon, any design you’d like, to use as a holder/base for all the leaves.

4.) Have more pieces of ribbon that are smaller (or vary in length) that you hold the individual leaves with.

5.) Punch a hole at the top of each leaf to tie the smaller ribbons through.

6.) Tie each leaf (that now has the smaller ribbon tied to it) to the longer ribbon that’s used as the holder/base.

7.) Put the falling leaves on a wall or anywhere else you’d like!

Yarn Pumpkin Garland

This array of little yarn pumpkins can bring fall to your mantel or tabletop.

Items:

Yarn

Green pipe cleaner

Twine

1.) Wrap some yarn around four fingers pushed together (not individual fingers) and make it somewhat firm to start the form of the pumpkin.

2.) Take another piece of yarn and tie it vertically around the yarn that’s currently around the fingers to hold the yarn in place and to create more of a pumpkin shape.

3.) Once the yarn is tied, you can remove it from your fingers and wrap a little piece of green pipe cleaner to the top to make the stem.

4.) Use a piece of yarn and tie the pumpkin to the twine.

5.) Place the craft wherever you’d like!

Fall Wreath

This festive fall wreath can be very simple and fun to create!

Items:

Grapevine wreath

Little pumpkin

Mini burlap banner

Decorative fall embellishments

1.) Take a grapevine wreath and place/nudge a pumpkin that fits into the wreath.

2.) Place a mini burlap banner across the pumpkin, and it can stay by wrapping the ends of the banner to/through the wreath (the style of wreath can make it easy to hold things on its own).

3.) Take fall embellishments and either secure them between the branches of the wreath or use string to tie them around the outer parts of the wreath.
