In a heartwarming display of style, compassion, and community spirit, Childhelp’s 18th Annual Wings Fashion Show & Luncheon, themed “All You Need is Love,” took center stage at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia on April 27, 2025. With a sold-out crowd and overwhelming generosity, the event soared past its fundraising goals, reinforcing its reputation as one of the Valley’s most anticipated philanthropic traditions.
Chaired by dedicated community leaders Leslie Duffy, Hillary Leto, and Amanda Tubesing, the luncheon was a celebration of both fashion and purpose. The centerpiece of the event was a captivating children’s fashion show, styled by The Garage Boutique & Concept Store. Fifty young models took to the runway with confidence and charm, embodying the Wings Chapter’s core mission: Kids Helping Kids. Their energy and spirit brought the afternoon’s theme to life, leaving attendees both uplifted and inspired.
Adding to the day’s meaningful moments was the presentation of the Childhelp Heart of an Angel Award to Carey Peña, a beloved local personality and entrepreneur, and Gordon James of Gordon C. James Public Relations. Both honorees were recognized for their unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to Childhelp’s mission to support children affected by abuse and neglect.
The event also featured a gourmet lunch and both live and silent auctions, offering guests the opportunity to bid on exclusive items and one-of-a-kind experiences, all while supporting a critical cause.
Among the distinguished guests were Carol Hebets, founding mother of the Wings Chapter, and Childhelp co-founders Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson. Their presence underscored the enduring legacy of an organization that has made a profound impact on the lives of children for over six decades.
Proceeds from the luncheon benefit the Childhelp Children’s Center of Arizona (CCCAZ), a nationally recognized advocacy model that has provided forensic interviews, medical care, therapy, and coordinated services to more than 145,000 children since its inception in 1998. Learn more at childhelp.org.
