\nScottsdale-based Z\u2019Tejas Southwestern Grill just celebrated its 20th anniversary\u2013but the real icing\u00a0on the cake is the announcement that\u00a0this local favorite is\u00a0opening its fifth Valley location on April 22. The new Z\u2019Tejas outpost will be in\u00a0central Phoenix, located at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road.
\nThe new restaurant is modeled after famed architect, Ralph Haver, to blend in with the architecture of the surrounding homes. \u201cThis location is a sign of perseverance and support from the neighborhood,\u201d says Z\u2019Tejas CEO Steven Micheletti. \u201cWe are excited to open our doors in the heart of central Phoenix.\u201d

\nA departure from other local Z\u2019Tejas locations, the\u00a0new spot\u00a0features five uniquely designed dining rooms and an overall light and airy look; each of the five spaces boasts a different feel. Standouts include\u00a0side panels that open to the outside, a greenhouse room with a retractable roof and \u201cliving wall\u201d inset with plants and greenery.
\nThe flagship Valley Z\u2019Tejas restaurant opened December 1991 in Scottsdale Fashion Square. Since then, the restaurant has become a local favorite due to its amazing margaritas and wallet-friendly happy hour specials. \u00a0Z\u2019Tejas has other locations at Shea\u00a0and Tatum in Phoenix as well as Tempe and Chandler. Chandler was the most recently opening, in 2001. There are 11 locations in the Western U.S. \u00a0www.ztejas.com<\/a>.
