Cook&#8217;s Lounge<\/strong> at The Royal Palms Resort and Spa (pictured) has recently kicked up its happy hour menu, now called &#8220;Royal Hour&#8221;, every Sunday through Friday, 5 to 7 p.m. Royal Hour bites include build-your-own short rib flatbreads and curried ginger BBQ chicken wings.<br \/>\nDuring October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), $1 from every watermelon margarita sold at Scottsdale Quarter&#8217;s <strong>SOL Cocina<\/strong> will be donated to Bosom Buddies of Arizona.<br \/>\nAttention sweet teeth: <strong>Nothing Bundt Cakes<\/strong> will open a Glendale location Oct. 12 at 5890 W. Thunderbird Road, Suite 101. The new shop will host its grand opening activities Wednesday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Oct. 20, including a ribbon-cutting, free cakes and a family-fun event.<br \/>\nTomorrow evening, at Hotel Palomar, the Valley will welcome a James Beard Award winner for <strong>&#8220;A Splendid Evening with Lynne Rosetto Kasper.\u201d<\/strong> The cocktail tasting event will feature the work of the Valley\u2019s top mixologists and artisanal spirits. Small bites will be served. Kasper will also sign books and meet and greet guests following the event. Tickets are $45.
