\nThe milk market can be confusing if you are seeking an alternative to whole, 2 percent, non-fat or low-fat options\u00a0due to lactose allergies or taste preferences. But what if you are looking for a different kind of milk all together? Rice milk, soy milk or coconut milk? I chose to replace my morning latte with a cup of almond milk sprinkled with protein and cinnamon. Sometimes, it even replaces breakfast. It’s a great post-workout drink as well. Each serving of almond milk contains about\u00a04 percent\u00a0of our recommended daily intake of iron, which helps muscles absorb and use protein for energy, growth and repair. The health benefits also help with skin, and even heart. I found a big difference in taste.
\nSilk Pure Almond Milk<\/strong> True to it\u2019s name, it\u2019s silky, smooth and tastes great. Silk has the distinction of making milk a liquid sensation–rather than just a drink. It\u2019s smoothness is almost like a milkshake.
\nWhole Foods Brand, 365<\/strong> This option is really good, flavorful and healthy. The vanilla flavor is a little more palatable than the unsweetened. It\u2019s made with organic almonds grown right here in the USA. This is a great alternative to regular milk.
\nAlmond Breeze by Blue Diamond<\/strong> This milk is not as thick but tastes pretty good. It’s almond factor is a little strong.
\nMy grocery great choice this week is definitely Silk Almond Milk. $2.50 – $5 and is available at your favorite grocery store.
