\nBLT Steak<\/strong> at the Scottsdale’s JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa offers a special, multi-course menu for Veteran\u2019s Day. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Camp Patriot, a nonprofit organization created to give disabled US military veterans the opportunity to experience outdoor adventures. The seasonally inspired menu features Santa Barbara mussels; Maine lobster chowder; dry-aged smoked pepper-crusted prime rib; pan-roasted dover sole; caramelized delicata squash; acorn squash raviolis; baked Granny Smith apple with bourbon caramel and butter pecan ice cream; and IBC root beer float with brown butter ice cream and cinnamon sugar donut holes. http:\/\/www.camelbackinn.com\/<\/a>.
\nPhoenix’s Alice Cooperstown Restaurant<\/strong> is thanking veterans today with a free meal and celebration. In honor of Veteran\u2019s Day, the first 500 veterans at Cooperstown from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be treated to a traditional barbecue meal (think a smoked pulled pork, chicken or beef sandwich with cole slaw, baked beans, dessert and soft drinks). After serving the first 500 veterans, Cooperstown is offering $5 sandwich meals for the general public.
