\nIt’s always nice to witness good things happen to good people. Such is the case with local lovlies, Donna Gabrilson and Stacey Barnes, mother and daughter co-owners of Scottsdale’s GoodyTwos Toffee Company. The duo started whipping up incredible toffee recipes out of their home kitchen in 2004 and shopping their goods at local farmers markets. They eventually moved into their first Scottsdale storefront, where they have since\u00a0provided the Valley with such incredible indulgences as their\u00a0Sweet and Salty toffee, their seasonal Comfort and Joy peppermint bark and the new\u00a0and wonderfully naughty\u00a0Twozels.
\nAfter enjoying their much-deserved success, the ladies of GoodyTwos have\u00a0announced that they are moving into bigger and better digs at 70th Street and Shea in Scottsdale (6990 E. Shea Blvd), and the shop\u00a0is open for business today.\u00a0The new shop (which used to house The Herb Box before moving to Scottsdale Southbridge) is 2,700 square feet, up from 1,300 square feet in their former shop. The new shop will feature a larger kitchen, a toffee retail shop and will house the GoodyTwos corporate office. Gabrilson and Barnes will also add to their team, hiring\u00a0three more full-time employees plus 15 additional individuals for the what is sure to be a superbusy holiday season.\u00a0
\nTo celebrate their new and improved storefront and the upcoming Halloween holiday, the ladies of GoodyTwos will host a Trick or Toffee event on Oct. 31. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lanewill take place at 4 p.m. on Halloween.
