\nOne of the perks about living in the Valley during the summer (in addition to light freeway traffic and great pool parties) is that around this time every year, local restaurants roll out awesome happy hour specials. Two special happy hour menus to check out this summer include thCarefree Station in Carefree\u00a0and\u00a0Scottsdale’s Roka Akor (think $5 food and drink specials, half-off wine and many more wallet-pleasing specials).
\nAll day long, every day of the week from now until August 31, Carefree Station in Carefree is offering a Cool Days of Summer Happy Hour. All beer, spirits, and a regularly rotating menu of more than 50 wine selections are offered at 50 percent off. The drink specials are available anywhere throughout the restaurant, any time of day. Beer lovers can choose from more than 100 bottled and draft domestic, import and craft brews. New wines will be regularly added to a rotating menu of more than 50 highly rated selections. \nScottsdale-based Roka Akor\u2019s new happy hour offerings include some more exotic tastes, including the \u00a0Soft Shell Crab \u201cBurger\u201d with Mizuna and Avocado ($5), Robata-Grilled Japanese Shishito Peppers with Ponzu and Bonito Flakes ($5) and Butterfish Tataki with White Asparagus and Yuzu ($9). Five is the magic number when it comes to sipping at Roka this sumemr. Select Roka signature cocktails will be available for $5, and premium martinis are half-price. Ice-cold Japanese beers (Kirin, Kirin Light, Sapporo or Asahi) are two for $5.
