The Mint is a 7,000-sq.-ft. space that was previously a bank&#8211;hence the name&#8211;and will act as a restaurant and lounge.<br \/>\nThe Mint&#8217;s menu, crafted by Executive Chef Johnny Chu (you know him from Phoenix&#8217;s former Fate and now Sens Asian Tapas and Sake), offers\u00a0 tastes of gourmet pan-Asian cuisine, artfully presented on small plates, all at a affordable prices. The tapas menu highlights Chef Chu\u2019s creativity with traditional Asian dishes through items like\u00a0loganberry shrimp with a spicy peanut dipping sauce; wasabi sliders with charcoal-grilled beef marinated in onions, peppers, curry seasoning and topped with pickled wasabi; flash-fried sugar cane pork with pineapple ginger sauce; and Japanese green tea cheesecake. To complement the Asain food choices, diners have perfect pairings available with an extensive wine and sake list.\u00a0 Handcrafted cocktails are also available, including those that spotlight local ingredients like the\u00a0Queen Creek Olive Mill Dirty Martini. Diners are invited to enjoy their meals indoors or out on Old Town&#8217;s largest patio (4,500 square feet).<br \/>\nThe Mint visitors will also revel in the Hollywood Regency design including dark woods and cohiba marble; gorgeous fireplaces; a 30-foot bar in the main room; and a specialty Champagne bar in the co-ed bathroom; a state-of-the-art retractable lighting system; and the bank&#8217;s original vault door.
