To help teach you all the tricks and tips to achieving a five-star feast at home, a few Valley dining destinations are holding Valentine&#8217;s Day cooking classes.<br \/>\n<strong>Jan. 29 <\/strong>Executive Chef Christopher Nicosia, of Scottsdale&#8217;s super romantic Sassi restaurant, is hosting a can&#8217;t-miss cooking class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 29. Not only is Chef Nicosia scheduled to provide instruction to guests but the class will be followed by lunch comprised of the three courses prepared in class. The first course features antipasti of Sicilian chickpea fritters followed by blood orange salad with shaved fennel and olives. Guests will learn how to create handmade ravioli nudi with gorgonzola and walnuts. A sweet dessert of espresso panna cotta will complete the romantic feast. Each course will be accompanied by an Italian wine. Recipes will be provided to everyone attending the Sassi Cupid-approved cooking class. The cooking class costs $65 per person. Chef Rachel Albert will focus the class on cooking healthy chocolate indulgences and how to treat the ones you love to delicious, health-enhancing, gluten-free, dairy-free, mostly grain-free, low-sugar desserts made from healthy fats and oils, and low-impact sweeteners&#8211;and not just on Valentine&#8217;s Day. The class is hands-on with wheat-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, naturally sweetened recipes. Attendees with cook Flourless Chocolate Almond Butter Brownies, Coconut Custard Cake with Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Pudding Pie with Cashew \u201cCookie\u201d Crust, Flourless Chocolate Cake with Frosting or Cherries, Mexican Chocolate Ice Dream (dairy-free ice cream alternative) with Fruit Sauce and more.<br \/>\n<strong>Feb. 13 <\/strong>Also at Luci&#8217;s Healthy Marketplace is Date Night&#8211;Table for Two on Feb. 13. Bring your special someone to this can&#8217;t-miss cooking class in Phoenix&#8211;the perfect way to spend Valentine&#8217;s Day eve. Chef Michael Tardibuono will\u00a0teach students\u00a0how to make the perfect roasted pork loin, mouthwatering green bean almandine and a decadent flourless chocolate torte.
