\nThe always-busy True Food Kitchen at Phoenix\u2019s Biltmore Fashion Park now has a sister in Scottsdale. The Sam Fox and Dr. Andrew Weil restaurant opened at the growing Scottsdale Quarter earlier this month. (Earlier in the year, a True Food Kitchen was unveiled in Newport Beach, making the Scottsdale location the third.) While diners will recognize the restaurant\u2019s minimalist yet bright aesthetic and its healthful menu concepts (think top-notch grains and veggies, wild-caught fish, Angus natural beef and free-range chicken), there is plenty of newness that sets the Scottsdale Quarter locale apart from its Phoenix counterpart. First off, its features an expanded food and cocktail menu, along with a full bar and a garden.
\nAmong our favorite dishes: the grilled salmon served with quinoa, roasted beets and preserved lemon salad and the so-comforting-you-forget-it\u2019s-good-for-you grass-fed bison short rib with three-bean ragout, baby carrots and Brussels sprouts. For something to wash it down with, we\u2019re quite fond of True Food\u2019s Natural Refreshments drinks\u2013nonalcoholic beverages that still have all the fanfare of a cocktail. The Hangover Rx tastes like a healthy pina colada.

\nThe restaurant, which is the midpoint of Scottsdale Quarter,\u00a0also has its good looks to rely on. The 4,000-sq.-ft. space features a large communal table, a centrally located bar and an incredible exhibition-style kitchen. Warm woods, clean lines and bright colors make it a nice place to linger for a while. Another place to get cozy is on the wraparound patio, complete with fire pits. We imagine this to be a popular spot to kick back on cool fall and winter evenings.
\nAnother notable feature: True Food Kitchen at Scottsdale Quarter has solar panels that provide some\u00a0of the restaurant\u2019s energy, among other eco-friendly aspects.
