\nShe wooed Food Network fans last year–as well as Rice Krispies lovers–when she won the network’s “Challenge: Rice Cereal Bridges 2.” Now, Valley pastry chef Chris D\u2019Angeli of SLiCE Cake Designs in Phoenix is now back vying for the gold once more during her sophomore effort,\u00a0the Food Network Challenge, \u201cHoliday Window Display.\u201d
\nThe show, which airs this Sunday, Nov. 28, had challengers meet the task of creating a department store-like holiday window display. The scene in the window had to be completely edible, whether it was created with gingerbread, chocolate, sugar, cake, or all of the above. And the wintery scene had to be able to withstand transport from studio to the actual window. A first in Challenge history, the contestants has six hours to create the scene in studio, then two hours to transport the edible masterpiece to the store, unload it and finishing decorating it.
\nThough Chef D’Angeli cannot share whether she won Challange for the second time, she can say she was very nervous but would do it over again and again.
