\nBad news, sushi lovers. Longtime Phoenix favorite and sushi spot, Zen 32, is will close its doors next week on\u00a0Aug. 31, adding to the far-too-long list of restaurant closures in the\u00a0past 32.\u00a0Zen 32, near\u00a0Camelback and 32nd,\u00a0opened in 1996 and has become known for its \u201cSushi \u2018til Midnite.\u201d Lenny Rosenberg, founder of Zen 32 and the man who launched 5 & Diner, Chaps, Blue Burrito Grille, Delux and Revo Burrito, plans to focus on Zen 32\u2019s strip-mall siblings, Revo Burrito and Delux. \u201cI have enjoyed serving my loyal customers \u2018Sushi \u2018til Midnite\u2019 and I want to thank them for their support over the last 14 years. Due to the fact that the remodel costs have far exceeded the original budget, it did not make economic sense to go forward with the major renovations. I will now devote all my time to expand Delux and Revo Burrito. The limited menu and fast casual concepts that I have developed with Delux and Revo Burrito are better suited for multi-unit expansion,\u201d says Rosenberg.
