In addition to the existing record shop and music store, Mesa’s Lonestar Music has opened the Lonestar Coffee Bar to expand its dynamic space.\u00a0Owner Cliff Merrill debuted the brick-and-mortar in 2024 after noticing a lack of mom-and-pop music stores in the area. Lonestar initially operated as an online shop but quickly grew into the thriving multi-faceted business it is today.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cThe coffee bar is a place for people to hang out and look at records and vinyl and musical instruments and things like that,\u201d Merrill said. \u201cSo, the coffee draws in a lot of non-musicians interested in other things.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by Merrill\u2019s Texan roots, specialty items on Lonestar Coffee Bar\u2019s menu include the Texacano, an americano with a shot of heavy whipping cream; the Texacano sweet, sweetened with condensed milk; and the Lonestar Punch, a mix of lemonade and pineapple juice that can be customized with “flavor spikes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classics like lattes, cappuccinos, and cortados are also available, along with chai and matcha drinks. Lonestar also has a Happy Hour from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with 10 percent off your purchase. <\/p>\n\n\n

The new coffee bar is the focal point of the diverse space, which also includes a retail shop. When you walk in front, you walk into the music store and then go into the coffee bar in the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the future, Lonestar will continue to evolve, with plans for a basement live-stream studio already in the works that will offer a space for musical artists to record for social media channels and perform exclusive shows for a limited audience.
