Otro Cafecito, a Mexican-inspired coffee, juice, and pastry shop within Otro Caf\u00e9 in Phoenix, announced its expansion of hours and the introduction of a delightful new chef-crafted ice cream menu. Starting October 30, the caf\u00e9 will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will offer a selection of 12 gourmet ice cream and sorbet flavors to tantalize everyone\u2019s taste buds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests can indulge in inventive ice cream flavors, including vegan toasted coconut and a strawberry Nutella inspired by Pastry Chef Amanda Hepler\u2019s favorite childhood cake. For the adventurous, the menu includes boozy options like margarita or Aperol sorbet, which can be transformed into an Aperol spritz with sparkling bubbles. Sweet treats from local favorites Sweet Republic and Skoop Premium Ice Cream will round out the offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To kick off the launch, Otro Cafecito is hosting a special Kids Happy Hour on October 30, featuring $1 off ice cream for all children from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. This initiative aims to create a fun and affordable way for families to enjoy the new cool treats together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMuch like our coffee and pastry programs, we wanted to highlight unique flavors from Latin America and beyond and utilize as many fresh, seasonal ingredients as possible,\u201d Chef and Founder Doug Robson said. \u201cWe started with about 15 recipe ideas, and through lots of taste testing, we narrowed it down to 12 new flavors. We\u2019ll be rotating flavors as fruits come in and out of season and offering holiday options later this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception in 2022, Otro Cafecito has quickly gained popularity under the leadership of Robson, a native of Mexico City who owns the acclaimed Gallo Blanco<\/a> and Tesota<\/a>. Known for its exceptional Mexican-style coffee drinks – such as Caf\u00e9 De Olla, Horchata con Caf\u00e9, and Choco Abuelita – Otro Cafecito also features an impressive array of freshly baked pastries crafted by Hepler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Otro Cafecito, Hepler curates an evolving menu of sweets, including Mexican wedding cookies with orange marmalade, vanilla custard-stuffed berlinesas, seasonal lemon-poppy mantecadas, cinnamon ginger morning buns, and signature flavored conchas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
