Recognized for pioneering new-style Japanese cuisine, the world-renowned restaurant Nobu has made a name for itself across the globe and here in the Valley with world-class cuisine and hospitality that attract celebrities and food aficionados alike.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In celebration of 30 years of the Nobu brand this fall, Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa\u2014known to the world simply as Chef \u201cNobu\u201d\u2014is taking a journey across the U.S. to visit a few Nobu locations, including the Valley\u2019s very own Nobu Scottsdale, during the \u201cTaste of Nobu\u201d event series. Guests are invited to join Nobu Scottsdale in welcoming the acclaimed chef and restaurateur for an evening to remember on Tuesday, March 5 featuring a culinary journey with signature canapes, live chef stations and hand-crafted cocktails, plus the chance to meet the pioneering Japanese chef, himself.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, Chef Nobu is the highly influential chef proprietor of Nobu and Matsuhisa restaurants all over the globe. Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, Chef Nobu served a rigorous apprenticeship at a respected sushi bar in Tokyo before opening his own sushi bar in Peru. As a classically trained sushi chef, Chef Nobu became challenged by the new culture and regional ingredients of the country, which kindled his inventive cuisine known today as Nobu Style. After three years in Peru, Nobu moved to Argentina, then home to Japan and then on to Alaska before finally settling in Los Angeles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1987, Chef Nobu opened Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills, California, which was an instant success and became a magnet for both food lovers and celebrities. It was here that his longtime friendship and business relationship with actor and director Robert De Niro began.&nbsp; The two later went on to open the very first Nobu in New York City in 1994 with restaurateur Drew Nieporent. Like Matsuhisa, Nobu was an instant hit. In 2013, the Nobu enterprise expanded to include the first-ever Nobu Hotels and the brand now boasts 50 restaurants and 16 hotels across five separate continents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Taste of Nobu event at Nobu Scottsdale takes place March 5 from 6:30 p.m.\u20139 p.m. Tickets are $250 per person plus tax and include complimentary food and drinks for the evening.
