To celebrate the launch of the brand&#8217;s first-ever Arizona shop, Jeni\u2019s will serve free scoops of ice cream to all attendees from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the new location at 7051 E. Fifth Avenue. The first 50 people in line will receive exclusive Jeni\u2019s swag bags in addition to complimentary ice cream.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeni\u2019s founder, Jeni Britton, started making ice cream in 1996 when she decided to sprinkle cayenne pepper into a tub of rich chocolate ice cream. As soon as she did this, Jeni knew she was destined to make ice cream for the rest of her life, sparking the opening of the first Jeni\u2019s ice cream store in Columbus, Ohio in 2002. Now, there are 23 scoop shops nationwide including the new Scottsdale location.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeni\u2019s is known for its uniquely smooth texture, buttercream body and inventive flavors that you won\u2019t find anywhere else. Ice cream flavors range from maple-soaked pancakes and gooey butter cake to powdered jelly donut and brandied banana br\u00fbl\u00e9e. The flavor, Ted Lasso biscuits with the boss, includes crumbly shortbread cookies in salted buttered sweet cream ice cream.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeni\u2019s ice cream is not new to the Scottsdale area, best-selling flavors are sold around town at grocery stores such as AJ\u2019s Fine Foods, Whole Foods and Target. Starting March 1, the new Jeni\u2019s ice cream shop opens from noon to 11 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays and 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
