And I think it\u2019s about time\u2013Gilbert and Chandler are home to some of my favorite restaurants. (Hello Joe\u2019s Farm Grill, Cork, Latitude Eight,\u00a0Liberty Market, Flancer\u2019s and many more!)\u00a0\u00a0Read on to see how East Valley foodies will be spending their time in the coming days.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>First Annual Taste Chandler Culinary Festival on\u00a0Saturday, Oct. 3\u00a0<\/strong>Plenty of eating and drinking is on the agenda at this\u00a0festival at Historic Downtown Chandler on Oct. 3 from 6 to 11 p.m. More than 30 local restaurants and beverage purveyors will be present at the first-ever Taste Chandler Culinary Festival.<br \/>\nThe following restaurants will be in attendance:<br \/>\n-Cork<br \/>\n-Latitude Eight Thai Grill (the first two are personal favorites)<br \/>\n-Sauce<br \/>\n-Urban Tea Loft<br \/>\n-d\u2019vine Bistro and Wine Bar<br \/>\n-Crave Artisan Ice Cream<br \/>\n-Simply Bread<br \/>\n-Kokopelli Winery and Bistro<br \/>\n-Arizona Cheesecake Co.<br \/>\n-98 South Wine Bar and Kitchen<br \/>\n-Pita Jungle and more<br \/>\nTickets are $45 for general admittance and $75 for the VIP lounge, where guests will get to taste from exclusive restaurants and get to listen to tunes from local jazz bands. Sarah Vanell, Stan Sorenson and Vandals & Hancock Duo are slated to perform. Please note that this is a 21-and-older event and all ticket prices include beverages. A portion of all ticket proceeds will benefit the non-profit Downtown Chandler Community Foundation and Chandler Service Club, both of which are dedicated to community service programs and projects that enrich the Chandler community. The event is at Dr. AJ Chandler Park located at 3 S.
