After a successful first\nseason, \u201cPlate & Pour,\u201d the original culinary series from Arizona PBS that takes\nviewers behind the scenes with chefs of local restaurants, is back for season\ntwo at 7 p.m. Thursdays on Arizona PBS. And this time, Chef Mark Tarbell, the\nshow\u2019s host and longtime Valley culinary legend, has an Emmy statuette awarded\nby the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television\nArts & Sciences under his belt. <\/p>\n\n\n

In the new season, which\npremiered late last month, Tarbell continues to chat with local purveyors of\nfine food and drink while shining a spotlight on the Southwest\u2019s culinary\nlandscape. Viewers will experience the science and artistry behind some of the\nregion\u2019s most innovative and popular dishes while also being exposed to the\nrecent developments and trends in the Arizona culinary scene. <\/p>\n\n\n

Standout episodes from\nseason two include a morning spent at the Uptown Farmers Market with Charleen\nBadman of FnB in Scottsdale and the most recent winner of the James Beard Award\nfor Best Chef Southwest, and a paella-making session with Samantha Sanz, the\nyoung chef at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North who was nominated\nfor the James Beard Rising Star Chef of the Year Award.<\/p>\n\n\n
