Over 80 percent of serotonin is produced in the gut plus the nervous system and the immune system both take direction from the gut. Feeding the gut specific, nutrient-rich foods helps keep it and the whole body healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Probiotics\nare a great way to feed the gut and improve the health of the microbiome. &nbsp;The benefits of probiotics include boosted\nimmunity, curbed cravings, easing Irritable Bowel Syndrome and more. Several reports have found that you may\nactually only be getting about 20% of the probiotics in a pill. These types of\nconcerns aren\u2019t a factor with fermented foods because they are the natural,\noriginal preservation method for producing healthy bacteria the gut needs.
