When it comes to brunching in Scottsdale, our motto is “the more, the merrier.” When Brunch Caf\u00e9<\/a> made its debut in Scottsdale earlier this summer (it has been a Chicago favorite since 2008), it brought with it a lengthy menu of a.m. eats–some tried-and-true traditional hits and some fun, creative dishes that you’re dying to taste after reading the description. Churro Belgian waffle, anyone? During a recent visit, we sampled several signature Brunch Caf\u00e9 dishes; here are our faves for early risers (though there are plenty lunchtime eats, as well).<\/p>\n

Apple Bread French Toast:<\/strong> Though French toast isn’t our usual breakfast order, this decadent offering had us dreaming of autumn. The thick slices are rich and moist, with delightful crunches of pecan and a not-overly-sweet vanilla bean glaze. We particularly liked the crispy, almost strudel-like texture that formed on the exterior of the French toast, making the dish a real morning treat.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Signature Brunch French Toast:<\/strong> Once again, the French toast lineup produced a winner with this signature dish. Don’t expect a traditional French toast, though. This sweet, fruity offering was a baked custard French bread, resulting in thick slabs of airy “French toast” with paper-thin layers. It was creamy, almost pudding-esque, covered with kiwi, strawberries and a strawberry-vanilla glaze. We’re tempted to throw a candle on it for our next birthday dessert.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Smoked Salmon Benedict:<\/b> Fun fact: Brunch Caf\u00e9 house-smokes its own salmon, and the quality and care is evident with each bite. Side this traditional breakfast dish with hash browns to soak up Brunch Caf\u00e9’s creamy, flavorful h<\/span><\/span>ollandaise sauce.<\/div>\n

Avocado Toast:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Since it is impossible to go anywhere without seeing avo toast on the menu, we had to give the Brunch Caf\u00e9’s selection a try. The rustic whole grain bread is thick and surprisingly very soft, topped with plenty of avocado and a vibrant crown of heirloom tomatoes, bright arugula and a sweet balsamic glaze. You can add an egg, goat cheese or bacon, if you want to really make it a meal.<\/span><\/div>\n

To drink, the restaurant whips up a variety of breakfast cocktails, smoothies, cold-pressed juices and specialty coffee drinks. Brunch Caf\u00e9 is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n

Brunch Caf\u00e9 in Scottsdale will host its grand opening celebration on Wednesday, August 14. All attendees will receive $5 off their total bill during regular business hours from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m., the \u201cearly bird\u201d attendees will also enjoy complimentary coffee and a chocolate-covered strawberry with the purchase of any meal. Plus, get your hands on some coupons for future visits.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n
