\nJoe\u2019s Real BBQ<\/a> <\/strong>is planning on giving away more than 5,000 free meals during their annual Customer Appreciation Day Wednesday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. In addition to the free meal, FunkFit will be around to help you work off your meal, Romen Buffalo will perform all evening and a balloon artist will be on hand to entertain kiddos.\u00a0<\/b>(Only one meal per person; must be present to receive free meal; no takeout; and no other menu items will be offered.) If you wish to help Open Arms Care Center, bring cans of food (fruit in particular) or boxes of cereal. \u00a0The food donations are not required for the free meal.

\nThe eighth-annual ameriCAN Canned Craft Beer Fest<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(pictured) is set to return on Saturday, April 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. featuring more than 250 canned craft beers from over 100 local and national breweries across 40 states. Located at the Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix, ameriCAN highlights include not only amazing canned beer, but also live music, food trucks, a beer science garden, canning seminars, beer Olympic games and a rare beer garden. Tickets are $35 online during presale and $45 at the door. Admission includes entry at 3 p.m., a souvenir 4 oz. can and 20 beer samples from participating breweries. Designated driver tickets are also available for $20 and do not include any beer sampling, water and soft drinks will be provided.
