\nOpen for only a few short weeks,\u00a06 Degrees Urban Kitchen<\/a> at Gainey Village Shops is impressing with its comfortable, beautiful patio and selection of eats and drinks that suit the health-focused as well as those seeking something more indulgent.
\nThe first thing diners will notice upon walking up to 6 Degrees is its gorgeous patio, beaming with a fireplace, comfy seating, twinkle lights and potted plants. Sure to be a must-stop spot once the 75-degree days hit, this is the ultimate spot to sip on a spicy, fall-friendly 6\u02da Bourbon Smash or a refreshing, pretty-in-pink All Day Frose (pictured above). One can even enjoy the latter cocktail to cool down until the fall temps settle in.

\nIn addition to the delicious cocktails, we sampled a few superstars of the 6 Degrees lunch menu during a recent stop at the Scottsdale restaurant. The crisp cauliflower is cleverly paired with shishitos, as well as sesame seeds, cilantro, pickled onions and honey sambal, in a flavor-packed dish that will make even those opposed to the floret a No. 1 fan. For a decadent way to kick off the lunch house, dig into the knife-and-fork house frites, which are crowned with tender, delicious braised short ribs, cheese curds, a fried egg and pan gravy. The large chunks of short rib melt in the mouth and the saltiness is balanced with the creamy egg yolk. Craving something a bit lighter? The stone fruit bruschetta is a unique, summery dish of chopped peaches, plums and tomatoes served with fresh mozzarella on a warm baguette. The dish is finished with a tangy drizzle of balsamic reduction. (It doesn’t hurt that it is pretty, to boot.)
\nThough digging in after a few bites of the house frites might seem impossible, don’t leave without a few bites of the 6\u02da Burger (pictured below), a juicy offering topped with bacon jam (that should be sold in jars to take home!), lettuce, tomato, egg and Butterkase cheese. (Tip: this baby is only $6 during happy hour, Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m.) Even New Englanders will appreciate the top-notch lobster roll, overflowing with large pieces of chilled lobster meat and tangy house pickles, all served on a buttery brioche bun. A table favorite is the blackened salmon salad, one of several salad offerings on the 6 Degrees lunch menu. The Asian-inspired salmon features a deliciously crisp, flavor-forward spiced exterior and is found on a bed of baby spinach, toasted almonds, oranges, cherry tomatoes, crispy onions and topped with sesame dressing. The salad is a wonderful medley of flavor and texture, from crunchy and creamy to spicy and sweet.
