From Oct. 14 to Oct. 20, people can buy one slice of cake, pastry or Danish and get one of equal or lesser value for free.<br \/>\n<strong>MAD Greens<\/strong> recently celebrated the grand opening of their two newest Arizona locations and will be continuing their partnership with Phoenix Children&#8217;s Hospital through the month of October. From Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, MAD Greens will donate $1 from every seasonal F.L.W. salad sold to the PCH Hope Fund.<br \/>\nTo celebrate the date harvest, <strong>Sphinx Date Company<\/strong> is hosting their annual \u201cDate Night,\u201d which is an open house with tastings of local foods, wine and of course, dates. The event takes place\u00a0Thursday, Oct. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m.<br \/>\n<strong>District American Kitchen &amp; Wine Bar<\/strong>\u00a0in Phoenix it hosts its first-ever wine dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 14. In addition to partnering with Alcantara Vineyards, one of Arizona\u2019s most renowned wineries, the wine dinner will feature six courses including amuse, appetizer, salad, intermezzo, entr\u00e9e and dessert. Space is limited.<br \/>\n<strong>The Boulders Resort &amp; Spa <\/strong>(pictured)\u00a0continues their wine dinner series with a special wine dinner event with Estancia Vineyards on Oct. 15.\u00a0Boulders\u2019 Boulderview Room Patio will be hosting the wine dinner event complete with a reception and a five-course meal paired with wine by Estancia Vineyards. Reception starts at 6:30 p.m.\u00a0$115 per person, not including tax and gratuity. To make a reservation, call 480.488.7317.<br \/>\nEncanterra Country Club, a Trilogy community, is introducing its newest signature event, <strong>Artoberfest,<\/strong> on Saturday, Oct. 10.\u00a0 Artoberfest, an interactive celebration of the arts, is a component of the community\u2019s renowned Good Life Festival, a unique entertainment series that hosts national music headliners, celebrity chefs, and one-of-a-kind events. The public festival will pay homage to Oktoberfest, the world\u2019s largest beer fest, by showcasing German wine flights and craft beers from only local breweries. Discover a wide variety of artwork displayed as more than\u00a040 local artists from Southeast Valley&#8217;s San Tan Artists and the Milan Art Institute will offer glassblowing demonstrations, painting classes as well as showcasing work for purchase. Guests will enjoy complimentary, authentic Oktoberfest dishes including roasted kielbasa and Polish sausage, red cabbage sauerkraut, chicken schnitzel, German potato salad and beer pretzels.\u00a0The event is open to the public and complimentary.<br \/>\nOn Sunday, Oct. 11, come to <strong>Luci&#8217;s Healthy Marketplace<\/strong> for their All Things Cheese Cooking Class. This is the third in a series of five classes by blogger and recipe developer Joanie Simon of Joanie Simon Media. Taste through a few lesser-known cheeses and learn how to assemble a proper cheese plate for entertaining this holiday season. You will also be cooking up some cheesy dishes including three cheese enchiladas and a twist on apple pie with cheddar.\u00a0The class begins at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m. and is $39.99 a person.
