It\u2019s all going down this Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 6-10 p.m. at the Venue Scottsdale during the <strong>Scottsdale Spice Culinary Event<\/strong>. Presented by the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, general admission is $50 and that includes unlimited food samplings from participating restaurants (while supplies last) and seven drink tickets.<br \/>\nJust in time for the start of the holiday season, <strong>Grassroots Kitchen &amp; Tap<\/strong> in Phoenix now offers from-scratch to-go whole pies daily for $20, including their signature key lime pie (pictured). Daily specials including fall favorites, apple, sweet potato, pecan, and decadent coconut cream pie too. If you have a special request, call at least 48-hours ahead, and Grassroots&#8217; chefs will do their best to create your perfect pie.<br \/>\nThe newest <strong>Village Inn<\/strong> restaurant is opening on Monday, Sept. 29 in Mesa on Stapley and Baseline. The restaurant will be celebrating throughout the entire week of the 29th, ending the week with a celebratory ribbon cutting on Friday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. Village Inn has announced they will be supporting local Boys &amp; Girls Clubs by collecting donations on grand opening day (Sept. 29) and donating a portion of proceeds from sales on Oct. 3 to the organization.<br \/>\n<strong>Phoenix City Grille<\/strong> announces its \u201cRack in the Back\u201d bike to brunch promotion in an effort to support the environment and reward customers who choose to bike to Phoenix City Grille on weekends. Each guest who rides his\/her bike to Phoenix City Grille on Saturdays from 11 a.m. \u2013 3 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. \u2013 3 p.m., and parks in the restaurant\u2019s recently installed bike rack located in the rear entry of the restaurant, will receive a complimentary appetizer now through Nov. 30.<br \/>\n<strong>Scramble \u2013 a Breakfast Joint<\/strong> in Scottsdale is celebrating National Pancake Day on Friday, Sept. 26 by offering all-you-can-eat buttermilk pancakes for the same price as the standard menu item ($6.99). The person who eats the most pancakes (at each location) will win free pancakes for an entire year. And on Monday, Sept. 29, Scramble is celebrating National Coffee Day by giving away free coffee all day long at both locations. (No purchase is necessary.)<br \/>\nNational Coffee Day is Monday, Sept. 29 and <strong>The Refuge<\/strong>, a local coffee shop and wine bar in Central Phoenix, is offering three bags of Caf\u00e9 Esperanza for $25 that day, (7 a.m. to 8 p.m.). The coffee is normally priced $10 a bag.
