\"Scottsdale\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Located in the northwest corner of Kierland Commons, Tommy Bahama<\/a> is most commonly known for its island inspired apparel and home d\u00e9cor. However, within the coastal themed retail space lies a beautiful beach like restaurant and bar retreat. The relaxed atmosphere plays homage to the isle-style synonymous with the Tommy Bahama brand.
\nNot surprisingly the menu showcases a taste of the tropics with touches of Asian, Polynesian, Caribbean and other island influences. The expansive, well balanced balance bill of fare is sure to have something for all palettes. For those wishing to imbibe Tommy Bahama provides a nice list of fine wines and breezy beach cocktails.
\nOn the night of our visit we were lucky enough to dine in one of the large private event rooms on the upper deck of the restaurant which provided gorgeous mountain views perfect for the sunset hour. Executive Chef Andrew Warner started us out with house favorite, the Macadamia Nut Encrusted Goat Cheese along with a palette cleansing Grapefruit Basil Martini. The second course included the popular Bungalow Salad and Mai Tai topped off with a gorgeous hibiscus flower.
\nFor the entr\u00e9e we were served an Ahi Tuna Trio featuring a trifecta of succulent fresh fish. The Poke Napoleon sat atop a luscious bed of guacamole while the Ahi Taco was housed inside a wonton shell with wasabi-lime infused avocado. To round out the threesome a seared Ahi tuna portion (pictured below)\u00a0with chili brown sugar crust was offered along with a juicy glass of Pinot Noir. Chef Warner followed up the Trio\u00a0with a unique play on surf and turf which featured crab stuffed shrimp and jerk pork tenderloin. Sides of baby spinach in Thai chile sauce and sweet potato monfongo were also\u00a0dished up\u00a0along with a glass of Von Strasser Zinfandel.<\/p>\n

\"Seared<\/a><\/p>\n

For the grand finale we were served a decadent trio of mini deserts including the pina colada napoleon, cr\u00e8me brulee inside a pineapple quarter, and our personal favorite of butterscotch pudding. The desert round also highlighted the delicious Coconut Cloud libation made with Ron Matusalem Platino, Stoli Vanil, and Cruzan Coconut. Needless to say we left very satisfied and truly impressed with the delectable fare and tranquil ambiance.
\nTommy Bahama’s Scottsdale\u00a0restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem among the retail based corner. The space is perfect for a leisurely happy hour, romantic dinner for two, and large groups looking for a fun venue to host an event.
