For a super-healthy start to your day, try The Hulk green smoothie (chock-full of goodness like kale, celery and ginger root) and dig into the Cocoloko acai bowl for a healthy, yet sweet, treat.<br \/>\nTo celebrate the fifth anniversary of <strong>Liberty Market<\/strong> in Gilbert, the restaurant will dish up $5 Tower Burgers\u00a0(regularly $9.50)\u00a0and\u00a0$5 Liberty Ale\u00a0(22 oz.) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., feature special desserts and have a drawing for gift cards in several denominations. The restaurant will also be showcasing its recent upgrades.<br \/>\n<strong>UNION<\/strong> at Biltmore Fashion Park has unveiled a new Sunday farmers&#8217; market. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy local fresh-baked breads, pesticide-free produce, all-natural meats, gluten-free products, pastas, salsas, jams and more.<br \/>\nHospice of the Valley\u2019s <strong>Off the Vine Vintage Wine Auction<\/strong> takes place Friday, Oct. 11, at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. The event begins with pairings under the stars, and features silent and live auctions of fine wines, unique culinary experiences and exciting vineyard trips. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit agency\u2019s patients and families.<br \/>\nOn Monday, Oct. 14, <strong>Twisted Rose Winery &amp; Eatery<\/strong> presents: An Evening with the Winemaker, featuring Slo Down Wines. The tasting event starts at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $45 per person for four courses, paired with wine.<br \/>\n<em>Wine Spectator Magazine&#8217;s<\/em> former &#8220;Wine of the Year&#8221; winemaker, Jim Phelps, hosts an exclusive winemaker dinner at <strong>Market Street Kitchen<\/strong> (pictured on homepage) in Scottsdale on Oct. 17. MSK\u2019s Chef Matt Taylor will prepare a five-course wine-paired dinner ($150 per person) that will double as a fundraiser for the Boys &amp; Girls Club of the East Valley.<br \/>\nTempe&#8217;s World of Beer hosts <strong>WOBtoberfest<\/strong> on Saturday, October 12, from 4 p.m. \u2013 2 a.m. WOBtoberfest hosts outdoor and indoor entertainment, food and beer. This is a free 21-and-over event.<br \/>\n<strong>Over Easy<\/strong> partners with Hickman\u2019s Family Farms along with other participating restaurants for its award-winning breakfast-for-dinner event for the Fifth Annual PJs &amp; Eggs. The Oct. 11 event benefits Arizona\u2019s Children Association (AzCA) foster care programs. The evening celebrates World Egg Day with dinner served 5 to 8 p.m. Guests are invited to wear their pajamas to any of the four Over Easy locations and bring a new pair of pajamas to donate to children in Arizona\u2019s foster care programs. Over Easy donates a portion of proceeds to AzCA and anticipates a $500 to $1,000 donation per location.
