In this week’s Grocery Great segment, guest writer ForXx samples Tribe\u00a0Hummus.<\/em>

\nOftentimes, vendors send samples of food products for me to try as a potential Grocery Great. Recently, I received samples of Tribe Hummus and was able to taste all\u00a0five flavors:
\n\u2022 Mediterranean Style
\n\u2022 Organic Roasted Garlic
\n\u2022 Organic Classic
\n\u2022 Sweet Roasted Red Pepper
\n\u2022 Limited-Batch Everything
\nAfter trying all five flavors, I chose one to prepare for my family who was visiting from out of town. I baked up some crispy tortillas, spread a thick layer of the Organic Roasted Garlic and piled it up with ground turkey, shredded lettuce, cheese, avocado, salsa and plain yogurt for my sour cream substitute. They really seemed to enjoy the pop of flavor. Later, I spread some of the other flavors onto some Wheat Thin flatbread crackers and was pleasantly surprised. Most hummus seem to have an overwhelming garlic flavor, too grainy, too thick or pasty. Tribe Hummus does a remarkable job on focusing on the real flavor of hummus making it taste homemade. They were creamy, flavorful, rich, finished without an after-taste and went well with everything, from flatbread crackers to celery and apples. Depending on the mood you\u2019re in or the flavor you\u2019re up for, Tribe seems to have the receipe for any occasion.
\nMy Grocery Great choice, however, is going to have to be a tie between the Organic Roasted Garlic and a limited batch called Everything. So yummy! I highly recommend this brand of hummus.
