(So far this season, Chef Nicosia has taught diners how to cook with summer fruit and a great intro into making pasta). This next class will present Arizona\u2019s summer vegetable bounty: heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, squash and herbs. The wine selection of Southern Italy will be explored, including Fiano di Avellino, Etna Rosso and Nero d\u2019Avola. In addition to sampling the foods demonstrated during the class, participants will also enjoy three four-ounce samples of the featured wines. Sassi\u2019s Director Stephen Plunkett will be on hand to teach the wine portion of the program. The next class in the Summer Food &amp; Wine Series takes place Wednesday, Sept. 11.
