And with a summer full of tempting foodie-friendly events, including chef Justin Beckett&#8217;s Wednesday night prix-fix Grownups Table and Social Hour (Tuesday through Sunday 5 to 6:30 p.m.), now seemed like a great time to get a taste.<br \/>\nA favorite starter on the Beckett&#8217;s Table menu is the divine Crow&#8217;s Dairy\u00a0peppered feta with\u00a0roasted peppers, green olives, onions, crunchy toast, charred lemon and pine nuts. The melty, mild cheese is the perfect partner for the crunchy toast and pine nuts and the kicky green olives. The tasty dish is rounded out with crunchy carrots, peas and corn and herbed saffron cream&#8211;it&#8217;ll surely transport you to Sunday night meals at Grandma&#8217;s house. (The dish makes for great leftovers, too.) A newbie to the menu, the flattop-seared cheeseburger is ground daily and topped with bacon, charred onions, American cheese, house-made mustard, pickles and a buttermilk bun. The osso bucco, cast-iron petite chicken and organic veggie plate are also highly recommended by chef Beckett.<br \/>\nEven after a dinner of hearty, comfort food eats, at least a few bites of the Beckett&#8217;s Tables s&#8217;mores dessert are a must. The chocolate-dipped bacon s&#8217;mores is rounded out with caramel, house-made marshmallow, whipped peanut butter and graham cracker. The smokiness of the bacon is heavenly paired with chocolate and peanut butter.
