Hayden Road in Scottsdale. The development is comprised of forty-one 550 to 1,200 square foot loft-style apartments on the greenbelt in Scottsdale.<\/p>\n<p>The apartments are expected to have low-to-no energy costs, with rents ranging from $995 to $1950 per month. To achieve Zero Net Energy, energy-modeling tools are used during the project design phase to reduce power consumption of the homes. Energy saving features include spray foam insulation, Low-E windows, high-efficiency heat pumps, on demand hot-water heaters, and Energy Star appliances. Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels produce the energy required to power the apartments and the common areas.<\/p>\n<p>Technology that makes daily life simpler is built into each home, including wireless thermostats and an optional automation system that controls lighting and entertainment systems.
